This page will cover the 1993 Ford F-150 4x4 Trouble shooting and 302 aka 5.0L engine rebuild.

One of the chronic problems I have experienced with my 5.0L Ford Motor is the failure of the oil sensor which is located on the left had side of the engine. I have had three of them fail. The original failed and started to leak oil (massively).  I got it back to the barn and replaced it with a part bought from AutoZone that lasted for a few years and then failed in a similar way. The third unit failed and sadly I did not get the engine stopped in time. The truck was knocking, and you could hear a ticking sound.
Replacing the oil sensor forth time and adding oil I hoped to be lucky the ticking when away for a short time and then returned.
